ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It’s all just too predictable though…

Wait Liverpool aren’t winning… how can we reduce the other team to 10 men to give an advantage…

Hold on, still not winning….. what can we do with extra minutes to give them every chance against 10 men.

Still nothing happening ok let’s give them a pen.

Watch the same thing happen next week

I agree.
But I still believe it’s fixed.
Fixed for Arsenal to win it.
Also I think 2 promoted teams will stay up this season. Relegation is becoming far too predictable for the premier league cash machine. They want it refreshed
Arsenal won’t win it either…. They are hopeless.

Was hoping Chelsea may step up but again slipping up in easy games.

City aren’t any better than the above 2.

Liverpool have looked awful but they will still go into win it unfortunately as the others are all as bad as each other

The RS haven't played well since the start of the season. Yet here we are with 4 wins out of 4. They'll start playing better soon and the league will be a formality unfortunately. You only have to look at Chelsea last night, I reckon they're better than the RS but the ref gave them f all compared to what them lot would have got.

From the BBC - Burnley, meanwhile, have lost twice to stoppage-time spot-kicks after suffering a similar fate at Manchester United.

Says it all to me. Football isn't a sport anymore.

We had an event in our village earlier. My mate said 'Burnley are still holding the RS (he said Liverpool) after 85 minutes. My neighbour, whose son supports the RS but would cack himself if he (the son) ever went to Liverpool, said something like 'this will be the first points they've dropped this season'. I said 'they won't lose because when it's needed they'll get a penalty'.

Are you suggesting that it shouldn't have been a penalty today? It was a foolish defender clearly sticking his hand out and blocking a cross that wasn't particularly dangerous. On many occasions they have gotten penalties that others don't get but not today, 100% penalty.

Aye, I think those claiming it wasn't a penalty need to remove those tinted glasses for a little bit and give their head a wobble.

Do the RS get favourable decisions? Yes, but today wasn't one of them.
💯% a penalty, mate. I'm not contesting that.

It's everything that lead up to the penalty. A soft second yellow card, and a sending off for Ugochukwu in the 84th minute, right when the RS needed it.
However, no second yellow card for Kerkez in the 1st half for what was arguably a much harsher challenge, and then the RS were allowed to sub him off with impunity just after that.

That gave them an obvious, palpable advantage, on which they capitalised off of. 🤷‍♂️
So in that regard, the RS got 2 favourable decisions in their favour.
