Rip ricky hatton

One of the lads, fairly insightful (for a boxer), loved his discipline and it hurt him awful losing competing. 46 is no age, and he'd worked so hard recently getting back into the sport and trying to be a good influence.

What a terrible shame and a terrible loss. Without tempting fate, I am deeply disturbed at the means in which he's been found, I'm hoping it's not what I think. Rip Rick. :(

Same here, but reading between the lines its not hard to. 46 is no age.

Very sad 46 is no age, great boxer in his day RIP Ricky
Ricky was an old fashioned fighter who gave his followers and others who liked boxing their money’s worth in every fight he fought, outside the ring he was always the same man, no side to him whatsoever, what you saw was what you got, I first saw him at a boxing club show run by The Everton Red Triangle and Ricky was a young boy with that front foot attitude hardly ever taking a step backwards that made him a crowd pleaser even then. Goodnight God Bless Ricky I hope you get everlasting peace. So very, very sad to hear this news.

RIP Ricky,I saw him box once at the MEN arena, they were handing flyers out at the Etihad before the Cahill goal/sent off game,he was good value at the event,no age and a sad loss😞🙏
Seen him fight a few times and a mate , acquaintance , of mine even fought him . Also ran into him a couple of times away from boxing just bouncing about , always incredibly approachable .

I think he changed the sport and how it was perceived in this country , everyone liked him and I suspect that’ll be illustrated by both lots of Manchester fans today.

This has shook me up more than I’d expect the death of someone I don’t know
