What a fighter he was, He wasnt quite an elite boxer but he was the best to watch. Took anyone on, fought both money and pac in their primes.

By all accounts he was a great fella outside the ring too.

I’d hope it’d be of some comfort to the family how many seem to have taken it hard . We’re a city that sees Manchester as a rival and look at us , I can imagine how much it’s hit the locals .

Devastated. This one has hit me like no other celebrity/sport star death before. Have no words to type to what Ricky Hatton meant to me when I was younger. Will probably be able to in a few days but honestly, the impact he had on British boxing, it doesn’t get the credit it deserves, nor does his career get the credit it deserves.


Thanks for the memories and great nights watching you Ricky. May your soul and mind be at peace.
