2025/26 Thierno Barry

He doesn't look switched-on to me. Instead he looks like he's nervous and the occasions getting to him. Needs to get out of his own head and do his job. Hopefully he clicks after a few goals.
I think he’s miles off it. I don’t like the ‘raw’ label. I think he’s so far, awful. Looks slow, playing as a striker but he is positioning himself as a number 10. Doesn’t look right at all to me.

Needs to be starting. Seems a player that would benefit from feeling his way into the game, whereas Beto is much better suited to just being let loose to cause some mayhem in the last 20 minutes if needed. Barry is a better footballer than Beto and complements the way we are playing better.

Can understand Moyes's reluctance with some of the young guys (Dibling the other case in point) even if I don't fully agree, but once he bites the bullet and fully integrates Barry into the starting XI I think we'll be better for it.

Think he’ll be very good in time. Everybody calm down 😂. Thierry was singing his praises a couple of weeks ago, that’ll do for me for a kid finding his feet.

By January we’ll start to see what we might have.

Still not buying the hype no matter which former professional said how good he may be. I want him to be a lot more lively in the bits he's played than he has been myself. Yes he's young but so are a lot of other good players. Time will tell how good he may turn out to be. Beto is a lot more lively and gets a lot more involved in games for me, but obviously misses chances as well

I think he's finding it difficult adjusting to the pace and fury of the game here. He looks a bit lost when he comes off the bench and doesn't seem to be able to get into the game. I think a goal would do him the world of good, but, I can see why Moyes is picking Beto ahead of him. As poor As Beto's finishing was yesterday, we looked far less likely to score when Barry came on.

I don't know how some of you can be so sure on this guy. We are 4 games in and he's had less minutes than Beto.

From the brief glimpses we've seen, he looks different to what his profile before signing suggested. His best aspect seems to be his link up play and not in DCL hold up play kind of way. He seems to have some neat touches and has an eye for a decent pass.

I was gutted he didn't finish that chance towards the end as I think a goal will just settle him down and everything else about his game is better than beto. The issue for him at the moment is beto is more likely to score in a game than him.

My quote was from the previous game. I'd need to see the chance again but it looked like good defending to me.
He should have known that Mings was coming. Either hit it early (before Mings gets there) or take it round him. To essentially try to hit it through Mings' foot makes me begin to suspect that there's nothing going on upstairs
