Godfrey was poor, but isn't the defence supposed to work as a team? He was left exposed, 1 against 1, facing a fast and tricky winger (Philogene) in full flow. I do not think many full backs would have coped in that situation, let alone Godfrey.

Agree to a point - he was backing off too far - must be lacking confidence. But yes - he needed better protection
