Surely this paragraph already translates to a yes? He’s never been quick so I don’t see age as an issue. Do agree people need to chill out before signing him permanently though.

It always surprises me when people don't mention Beardsley. He was playing the game on a different level to the rest of that Everton side. Same with Gough.

Beardsley makes that list … one of the most under rated footballers in British history ( apart from the fans of the clubs he played for )
Southall also makes the list but is a gk obviously … but the question was about talent , so he has to be in there … even in his 30’s

Come on mate .. I think he’s a knob too but he was one of the best midfielders in the league for a few years before his injury
