The Pope's Exorcist (Russell Crowe) is on C4 at 9pm tonight. I'll be watching the darts so is this worth recording? He's supposed to have done 100,000+ exorcisms so is this one of Russell's fails or worth a look?

It`s a bit of a nutty film, as Crowe is given full licence to over act at every opportunity and looks like he`s really enjoying himself.

It`s not remotely scary, but I enjoyed it and thought it was entertaining.

It`s not a must see, but more of a rainy day film.

" The long walk", I read the book a few years ago, it was never a story I thought would transfer over to cinema, the movie isn't awful, though it doesn't give the reason behind the walk, the story is based around teens, so having a couple of the main characters looking in their 30s doesn't help, the film isn't long enough to feel any attachment to any of the characters, in the book you got a lot more of the background stories, inner thoughts, inner pain, none of that comes across in the script, it's not awful but it's not one you would think of watching again

It's difficult to say mate, it hasn't translated over from the book too well, having read the story all be it a while ago, I knew the back story to the walk, all I can say is I didn't hate it, you really need to concentrate because it's basically all dialogue based, there's very little action involved, I just don't think it's a book that was made to be filmed unless it was over a couple of films

Naked Gun reeboot.

Liam Neeson does his best, but it`s not a patch on the original. Mildly amusing, rather than hilarious.

I`m glad I missed it on the cinema.
Agreed mate…

As much as I like Neeson, I don’t think comedy is his strongest suit.

I watched this the other night:

It’s an above average horror, with the exception that Pete Davidson is a HORRIBLE actor.

Whoever gave him the idea that he should get into acting, needs to give their head a wobble! 🤦‍♂️

Saw this on a trailer at the cinema, don’t think it got a particularly long run on the multiplexes.

The reviews were universally pretty poor, which is what put me off.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
I was being pretty generous calling it ‘above average’.

Watch it only if you’re in the mood for a horror, there are no other horrors out that you haven’t seen which have better reviews than it, and you have a couple of hours to burn with nothing else to do… 🙄

Oh, and I will add one more point about the Naked Gun reboot.

Liam Neeson and Pamala Anderson are now an item.

Good for him! She’s Hep C free now, so have your fill Liam, you old dog, you! 😜

He claims he’s in love, so I suppose it’s true what Frank Sinatra said:

‘Love is lovelier the second time around
Just as wonderful with both feet on the ground
It's that second time you hear your love song sung
It makes you think perhaps that love, like youth, is wasted on the young…’ 😘

The bit where he`s cleaning out the oven, getting the turkey ready, the dog, Pamela Anderson and the infrared in his flat is very funny and clever though
