2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

And Tim was quickly dropped for the next game we all know if Moyes has a decision he will go with the older player in this circumstance. Like playing garner at left back over a specialist left back because he’s 18
Players coming from Africa is slightly different, I’d say

And loads of pundits ex players have also said in recent pods that Harrison in technicalky a better player and is miles ahead in terms of a football. Brain you’re definitely in the minority if you think Tim is better
Happy to have a bet you had the better career
Links please. Tim played as a starter for QPR aged 19 when he was on loan. If you look at his highlights they are significantly more impressive than what HA did for Derby last year. I don't rely on group think and just go by what I see. Tim is obviously much better than HA at the moment and he looked better when he was 19 too.

Just try watching all our games - that's the best link .....

The comments Paul Heckingbottom has made about playing him further forward and then Armstrong saying he liked what the manager said to him about the role he has planned suggests his role in the team will be further forward and different from his time at Derby. Preston play 3/5/2 , with variations, 2 wide players 3 in the middle , and have Ben Whiteman as the regular in the deepest lying midfielder role, with two ahead of him. Alfie Devine on loan from Spurs would be one of the CMs if he’s fit after injury and you could see him and Harrison complimenting each other well when played together in the CMs role . It remains to be seen if Heckingbottom pitches Armstrong in from the start given he’s been away on international duty and possibly not fully integrated yet .

If he doesn’t start then cue the “ what’s the point of him going on a loan” and “ See, he’s not even ready for the Championship “ posts ad nauseam . We really should ban International Breaks, searches for the Shakes Head emoji.

I think the media coverage he’s had there so far suggests they’re seeing him as a starter. A normal loan for a PL academy player doesn’t usually get much attention or write up.

International breaks - easy solution is to put all the poor seeded teams = the minnows of the competition into one league & only the top 2 qualify for the Euros or the world cup - the teams England have played just Cannon fodder - the whole league campaign closed for those games = radicicolous IMO ...

I know we dont want to hear this , but is he considered the next big thing because of how poor our academy currently is and there's nobody else?
Is he even considered the next big thing?

He has an army of fanboys based off nothing more than 2 passes against League 6 players.

If he performs well for PNE, then maybe we can consider him an option going forward.

The odds are massively stacked against him.

Exactly. If you bet on every highly rated 18 year old flopping without even watching them play you would win the vast majority of the time. Some people have him in our starting line up next season because he "assisted" Alcaraz' twenty yarder against Mansfield 😂

Aren't they always..

The lad looks like a bright spark with a number of positive attributes to his game, and thats looking past a 2 pass view..
