2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Oh & our present left back hardly suffers with injuries does he - sorry Harrison Armstrong should have made our squad this season - if your good enough you get in the squad - age should not come into it IMO - a season around the first team etc IMO would have fetched him on more as a player than a kick about at Preston NE -
Captain of the England under 19 team - I tell you a fact the other lot would have not sent him out on loan - end of -

they have another younster younger they have kept him to play cameo roles etc - Harrison Armstrong would have learnt more here !
Very dismissive of the 9th placed championship side Joseph.

'Kick about at Preston' were your words. You're not just disrespecting a team, you're disrespecting the entire division.
Braiwaithte was sent on loan to Juventus a much higher level of a loan period a few posters on here all agreed a European team like that may have been more beneficial than another championship club - everyone has different views plusI never used the words you quoted kick about -
I still maintain it's not the greatest move for him it's a forum of opinions & that's my opinion ok

Erm he went to PSV not Juventus... just a slightly different team.

The RS youngster is still in school so he can’t go on loan

He actually went on loan to Blackburn first and then PSV. He never went to Juve. The issue with a loan to PSV is that he might not get many minutes. Your opinion isn't really of much relevance in comparison to the opinion of professional coaches who see him every day.

He's not ready mate. You have this weird fantasy in your head that he's the second coming of Steven Gerrard but it's based on nothing other than wishful thinking. Hr was ok at Derby (occasionally completely anonymous) and didn't do much for us in pre-season. There's no evidence at the moment that he's anywhere near the level of the players who play in the same position as him and the people who watch him day in day out obviously feel the same way. Throwing a young forward on for a few minutes at the end of a game is far less risky than putting on a central midfielder.
He’s just got 2 assists in the cup and could have had 4, admittedly it was Mansfield but what did Villa Tim do last year v Doncaster ?? The lad already looks to have a better footballing brain than Tim and he’s 4yrs younger
You have some weird fantasy the lad is crap. He’s 18 ffs and was brilliant at derby, he’d just turned 18 they sacked the manager not long after he arrived and within weeks the new manager trusted an 18yr old kid to sit in front of their defence in a relegation scrap. Go and ask derby fans what they thought about him, instead of your strange obsession.

City and arsenal were intrested in this kid for a reason. Not saying he’s going to be Gerrard, but he wasn’t a regular for Liverpool untill he was 19 and played quite a bit out of position at right back

Armstrong is going to be a fantastic player. I watched three Derby games last season and he was head and shoulders above anyone. Moyes indicated himself in his last presser that it was a tight call on whether to keep him or send him out. Ultimately he’s decided that 90 minutes at a really good level once or twice a week for at least the next 12 weeks will speed up his development more than 20 minutes a week at the top level. It would be interesting to know when we’re allowed to recall him tho because if Garner, for instance, got injured on Sat and we weren’t allowed to get Armstrong back till Jan at the earliest, it could easily be a choice we’ll live to regret.

I don't have a fantasy that he's crap. I just haven't seen anything yet to suggest he's some amazing talent that's going to be a nailed on starter in a top half premier league team. Whenever I have seen him play I have been underwhelmed.

Evidently it has to be a season loan no calling back in January...
