First, it was handball.
Second, he fell over like a big Jessie.
Just a coming together of legs in truth plus the wet pitch probably contributed to the loss of balance

If anything he jumped up to not get booked for going down.Clear and Obvious is apparently what VAR is for. Neither the lad on the ball or the other Wolves player slightly behind the play even claimed for a penalty. They don't want VAR to be reffing the game they say. VAR isn't the problem, it's the dimwits operating it. We have the worst refs I've ever seen currently. On an unrelated note, did everyone see what David Coote is on bail for![]()
But all the ex-players seem to support the RS. Even Gary Neville does now.Get ex players on VAR.
This season, Chelsea have benefited from two disallowed goals in their favour.
If you don’t give that players are going to start smothering shots like that all the time and you basically have 11 goalkeepers. Footballers are some of the most give an inch take a mile people I’ve ever seen.
So there is a show I stumbled upon on sky were Howard Webb and Michael Owen discuss refereeing decision. Riveting, I know
Howard Webb stated his belief that Tarkowski deliberately moved his hand toward the ball and therefore it was a bang on penalty
In what world now would a professional footballer look to deliberately handle the ball? There is absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose with VAR. the only situation would be to prevent a certain goal which the Leeds one obviously wasnt
Even worse on the replays it’s quite clear Tarkowski is trying to stick his arm behind his back
A shocking decision and I dare I say shocking program on sky to protect the refs and var
I've said this a few times, hire people who don't have interest in football, hand them the rule book, have them learn it, and let them apply the laws fairly across the board no matter who is playing who..This is why var sucks, Wolves penalised for awful officiating vs leeds and brighton. It draws us into the equation over the season that they go for and against you. All anyone is asking for is consistency. Then we have to be put through the farce involving man utd, and it just makes the system look even worse.
Hand the var officiating to an independent body outside of football, say, a mix of rugby referees. Their job is hampered because of 'in touch' calls obscured by bodies and camera angles, and similar 'try scored' or not. It doesn't apply in football. It's easier.
