Confirmed Signing Tom King

Being a third choice goalkeeper at a Premier League club has to be one of the easiest jobs around. He will probably earn around £3,000 to £5,000 per week for just making a few saves in training and kicking the ball around a little, all whilst being mentored by Pickford.

EDIT: I should make it clear that I have absolutely no idea what his wage will be, but I have provided a guess.
Maybe he's been tasked with finding out who The Leaker is to keep him busy.

Do we have actual journalists? Anyone that will ask a real question. How can DM say “we may have other priorities” when asked about rb the same damn day we sign a 3rd choice goalkeeper? Honest question, is there not one person in that presser with a brain or any guts? Pathetic bunch of lackeys or imbeciles.

Bit like going to the supermarket and you get to the checkout...

Grab a last minute offer. And think, "f" it. Go on then. Can't hurt.

Long live the King. 'Til his liver packs in.

It shouldn't be a case of one preceding the other, yet rather the case of, by the end of the window, getting in all the players that we need.

We will be working on sorting other priority acquisitions, however this has been something we could get sorted and likely fairly easily.

The keepers often train in triads to help facilitate serving and game-like situations (someone blocking, finishing or following up), so we'd need three.

The youth keepers work with different coaches and with different scenarios needed for their development, so they won't work with Pickford etc. often.

As @Lob rightly said, it ain't an exciting acquisition, but it's a necessary one that probably isn't going to cost us much, at all.

At least with this signing it shows the recruitment team and our top end negotiators CAN do more than one signing a week, so we're in proper nosebleed territory with King and Grealish through the doors.

A well earned weekend rest I reckon and then back at it next week to see if we can get our standard 1 a week signing over the line!!
