January Transfer Window 2026

Mykolenko will be discussing a new deal apparently but I could see Beto moving for the right price and if Barry is up to speed.

McNeil I think it a logical sale and would be interested to see whether Iroegbunam performs.

Beto, McNeil, Iroegbunam could bring in a decent chunk of cash.

As I said, i think Garner + Armstrong competing next season is enough for one of the two positions in the centre.

Garner apparently will be offered a new contract soon.

I'm still confused where KDH & Rohl fit in. Theyre both 8s so would be competing for that Gana place unless KDH is continuing out of position as a 10.
KDH is not out of position as a 10/furthest forward 8, that's where he's played for the prior two seasons and where he got moved to by Maresca at Leicester that made him really kick into another gear. It's probably his best position.

Agreed on don't know where Rohl fits in but that's because it's not obvious yet what he's here to do apart from carry the ball forward. He has to be much much better at either passing or winning the ball than he showed at Freiburg, but we don't know which yet. Both would be nice obviously...

Just nice having players ready to come off the bench like rohl and alcaraz. Think will be similar to dibbling will get minutes but we will see alot more from them we needed for the acon.

So Denzel Dumfries (29) would like a move to the Premier League, so I'll start a rumour / gossip that he's coming here in January solely for the fact that I can't be arsed going through the rigmarole of changing user names.

"We paid for that bridge, now we're going to collect !'
He was linked years back and @Zatara tried to convince everyone he was awful if memory serves. Been a top player for Inter and the Dutch ever since.

There are very unlikely to be significant sales in January. We have one of the smaller PL squads. More likely if we are in a promising position we see a couple of loans inwards. Patterson might be the exception as I think we could be tempted move him permanently if a reasonable opportunity presents.

Next summer I think Beto will be replaced as will McNeil. Iroegbunam as well unless he establishes himself somewhat regularly as a starter. Tarko and Gana even if extended/option picked up cannot be regular starters so we will ideally want to add in those areas as well.

That is 5-6 transfers just to improve by continuously replacing people near the bottom of the squad/older players with others who will push for more regular first team minutes and/or be younger with upside.

The Grealish decision will be fascinating in this context as the price will half to be a lot lower than the £50m floated at his age, even if he remains on fire.

Not seen that mentioned anywhere Zat and tbh if we are aiming for Europe as per the manager then we need better than an injury prone Mykolenko imo and Aznou is unproven atm.

It was in the reports (Joyce?) when Pickford was discussed the other day.

Mykolenko & Garner to follow Pickfords deal.

He's not a good right back, he was awful there.

Right wing back yes...right back = no.
