January Transfer Window 2026

Hopefully come the turn of the year we're sitting in or around the top 7, with the board knowing that a few smart signings in January could genuinely propel us into that bracket and put us in with an amazing chance of European football next season.

A lot of it will probably come down to whether Beto and Barry convert enough of their chances, as I don't see why the attacking midfielders' supply line will dry up.

Right back, left back, striker, central midfield.

Get Iroegbunam (£5m-10m), McNeil (£10m-£15m), Mykolenko (£5m-£10m) and Patterson (£2m-£5m) offered around.
Why do you want to make a loss on McNeil and Myko when they've both improved from when we first bought them? I don't understand why you hate some of our players so much.

Well there will be sales, I wouldn’t say a number, Beto, McNeil, I’d sell Myko,
Maybe we get some money for Tim. But with the first year of the new stadium and new sponsorship deals like shirt sponsorship and TFG seem
To know what they’re doing. I do think it’s possible

Mykolenko will be discussing a new deal apparently but I could see Beto moving for the right price and if Barry is up to speed.

McNeil I think it a logical sale and would be interested to see whether Iroegbunam performs.

Beto, McNeil, Iroegbunam could bring in a decent chunk of cash.

I will say Rohl is the big wildcard because no one really knows how he's going to be used really. Maybe worth revisiting the conversation in a few months (...in January, even!)

I still maintain that even though Garner has played well the last few games, he doesn't start for any of the sides we want to be competing with or even finishing above. And replacing Gana with either KDH or Rohl is just booting an ENORMOUS amount of ball-winning out of the side, to a degree that I'm not sure is sustainable (and I think loses KDH at his best which is linking things in the final third). All conjecture for now though tbf!

As I said, i think Garner + Armstrong competing next season is enough for one of the two positions in the centre.

Garner apparently will be offered a new contract soon.

I'm still confused where KDH & Rohl fit in. Theyre both 8s so would be competing for that Gana place unless KDH is continuing out of position as a 10.

Not seen that mentioned anywhere Zat and tbh if we are aiming for Europe as per the manager then we need better than an injury prone Mykolenko imo and Aznou is unproven atm.

KDH is naturally a left-sided 8, Rohl is naturally a right-sided 8

If Rohl progresses as we all hope, I'd imagine we gravitate towards a 433, rather than shoehorning someone in as a number 10

Would imagine that January is going to be utilized purely for short-term loans to the end of the season, if needed.

I was surprised we didn't do more loans on TDD, but they may just have decided to keep their powder dry till January in that respect. Even then I imagine it would be used sparingly and dependent on League position.

Utility defender and forward cover. Let's hope we are fortunate on the injury front.

I wonder if last January is a hint as to how TFG will approach January windows in future i.e only follow through with deals if they're ultimately needed. If we are really struggling in a certain position or in the table they will do business but otherwise they're happy to wait until the summer and try to get players that have been assessed thoroughly without panic.

January just had the agreed loans from the summer on the books already. There wasn't the means to do a great deal, and permanent transfers don't tend to be done then besides.

Boyland said that we had Fellows lined up to sign on a permanent deal but TFG said no because they felt comfortable Moyes could manage without.

I think a proper 433 would work better, be more solid.

It would massively hinge on the defence not dropping to deep, which is a problem when Keane and tarks are the partnership

Myko will be getting a new deal, because they wont want him to walk away on a free , they will only be protecting his value. But we need much better going forward in the full back positions
