Levy gone!

Haven't been able to move from calling it BMD yet,
I don't personally like the whole 'Naming Rights' approach,
but that is football nowadays..
I agree with you mate.

It feels like you’re selling your soul to a faceless, multinational corporation in order to become a giant marketing campaign for them, all in the name of ‘brand recognition’. 🙄

I still refer to it as BMD as well.
But I suppose it could be worse… ‘Hill Dickson Stadium’ is a far sight better than something ridiculous like ‘Hill Dickinson Commercial Attorneys At Law Stadium’.

It is strange but to be honest I prefer it.
We play at White Hart Lane not the Asda Arena or the Sharia Law Stadium.
I think Levy has pitched the naming rights very high and couldn't get any takers. That is likely to change under the new regime.
That would be a great way of stopping all the gammons and “get the badge in” weirdos from attending.

You played crap footy and finished 17th? And beat the worst United team in living memory in the final, in a competition completely devoid of any quality

And you spent 180m on players

And you still defend Big Fat Ange?

Give your head a wobble sunshine
We played 6 sides that are in this seasons CL
We played 4 sides that have been in the Europa League final since 2018
We beat 2 sides that have won the Europa league since 2018

Like I said, the 30 year hiatus for Everton has made their fans forget what the game is about. Your average Everton fan has to be knocking on 40 to really remember what it’s like to win anything - so hearing one trying to denigrate Europes second trophy is like Daniel Levy trying to take the mick out of Thomas Franks hair style.

We knocked out Frankfurt in the quarters who finished 3rd in the Buli - was a top away performance and the moment I knew we would win the whole thing - when in the last 30 years have Everton had a result like that?

Ange categorically said he always wins in his second season and he wasn’t wrong was he.

It also gave Son the fairytale send off his career deserved

Only Frankfurt is worth shouting about there. Doesn't matter about whether the teams you played were good once, they were all cack last year. Alkmaar and Bodo Glimt in the knock outs, come on now

Don't get me wrong, well done for winning a trophy, but you can't honestly think that Ange was a good gaffer who did well with no backing or a poorly assembled squad. That's just a weak narrative to explain away an ultimately limited manager because you quite like him as a bloke

Bodo knocked out Lazio, beat Porto and absolutely smashed Jose’s Roma the year before that. They were unbeaten at home for 3 years before we did them 2-0.

Put it this way, to win the 2025 Europa league we had to play: Qarabag, Ferencvaros, AZ, Galatasaray, Roma, Rangers, Hoffenheim, Elfsborg, AZ (again), Frankfurt, Bodo, Man United. For Everton to win the 1984 FA cup, you had to play Stoke, Gillingham, Shrewsbury, Notts County, Southampton, Watford - that’s got to be top 5 for easiest FA cup runs ever

Only recognise Frankfurt as a proper challenger in that, sorry. Tell me all the stats you want about Bodo Flipping Glimt, but I'll never accept you beating them as a metric of how hard your journey was to the final. Bodo Glimt, really? Say it again, but slower

And you've got your head in a twist. This isn't some playground argument about who's dad is bigger than the other. I'm not interested in comparing our 1984 cup win with your 2025 Europa League win (not sure anyone is, other than you). In fact, I've never suggested that Evertons trophies are somehow worth more than yours. Perhaps a Freudian insight into your Spursy mentality, there. But go ahead, convince yourself that the Spursy mentality is down to Levy, and not the hills you as a fan base are willing to die on

The original point was that Spurs fans appear to want to die on a hill to defend Ange and have concocted some odd narrative about your owner not backing him in order to do so

I may not be able to tell you about what it means to win a trophy in the 21st century, but I'm certainly over qualified to tell you what bad ownership looks like, and what bad managers look like too. And Levy ain't it, but Ange definitely is.

Mad you won't admit that

You mean spurious 41 years apart different competition comparisons mean very little?

Say it aint so!

Hello friend. May I ask you s few questions? Marvellous let's begin.

1) what Spurs forum do you usually frequently?
2) what do you think of Jimmy Greaves?
3) what are your feelings about Liverpool FC?
4) what so you think about spiritualism?
5) have you ever been banned from this or another forum?
