The Occasional Visitor (Seat Unique and alternatives)

Yeah I've been caught out by that before. Make travel arrangements 6 weeks in advance only for them to change it again.
I appreciate we’re not travelling abroad but I’ve become the “train tickets organiser” for our away gang , some prices can change drastically once the dates are announced.

I've done the same for the Man Utd game - is that the same as yours?

They're definitely the Daily Fail there as that's last season... ;)

I can't see the United game being an evening game for security reasons, so that really only leaves Saturday 12.30 or Sunday afternoon and I believe the North London derby is the same weekend so that's probably Super Sunday...

It does feel like organising a trip abroad trying to get from South to Liverpool for a Sunday 2pm game. No direct train, so it's either into London first or across to Midlands (Lichfield had a few blues on the platform for Brighton game).

Just to be clear, if tickets do ever up on general sale that will mean you don’t need a ‘membership’ to get one?

I.e the ‘membership’ just gets you entered into a priority ballot but if there were tickets left after this, then they would be available to people without a membership. Is that right?

I refuse to give Everton £60 to get absolutely nothing in return except the possibility of getting something in the future
It will never go to general sale

Ah jeez, ... (checks hotel prices for Sunday).

Yeah and charging fans 60 quid for memberships which dont get you a ticket is scandalous. Everton in the community.
Agree! Wouldnt pay the £60 on principle. Just renewed our ordinary FB m'ships as we are on the next block of ST's to be released. Won't be long before the club starts charging near £1000 for a ST ( think £880 now east and west ) and quite a few fans won't renew.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking to decrease the number of ST, as they'll only see that the Ballot is a success and brings in more money per ticket

On the flipside- If we just have a mediocre season finishing just mid table, novelty of new stadium wearing off and fans being miffed about forking out £60 and still not getting a ticket ( many have 0 in 3 ballots) the club will have to be careful what they do. Fans are getting wiser to being ripped off with prices. Those who have missed a ticket the first 3 ballots now understand the next ticket will cost them £82.50p not ¥70.. I pity the family who have forked out around £200 in FB+ m'/ships. ( 2 adults- 2 kids ) Total rip off !
