Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

This has inspired me to tell ,Matt has had his game online for a couple of weeks now ,Comet Browser and wormhole is the game .
He has been asked by the company to sign up full time to be the head of games with the authority to hire sub contractors and have his own team ,they are to cantact him with a time for the chat with the HR guy/gal to sort out the details . I am so happy for him as he has a hard few years .

Hello everybody. I managed to focus on overtime and did the whole six hours. I think I'm mentally winding down for my hols. Also I've got a new line manager and although Im trying to be professional about him, I had so many run ins with him when I was a union rep I have a deep distrust of him. I don't think he likes me much either - every time I represented his staff for sickness absence warnings, I got them overturned! He never followed the procedures and, to put it bluntly, he's bone idle incompetent and tries to flirt his way out of trouble.
Anyway enough moaning. Ive cut the grass and done some weeding this afternoon. It's quite windy here and a bit chilly.
Hope you are feeling better @Barnfred 55 .
Enjoy the rest of your day all x

It’s the same in GAA now where for bigger games you must have a ticket rather than be able to pay at the gate. There are so many older people who don’t know how to order tickets online or who don’t have smartphones. At least you can gain entry with a printed ticket though.
Oh I don't mind buying a ticket beforehand, the days of turning up and paying on the gate are long gone ( unless you go to non league matches ) but having to have the ticket on your phone and not having it emailed to you until a day before the game would absolutely do my head in.

It’s too close for comfort alright, especially when you like to be organised well in advance. My Armagh season ticket has been digital for about the last 5 years or so which means I’m used to the system at least.

In practice what happens in my club is that people who don’t have smartphones can buy a ticket from the club secretary who buys and prints it there and then. However, I did see plenty of older gents denied entry to games because it was cashless entry and became so without sufficient publicising. The modern world can be confusing for many people.

There is nothing like sticking it to the system 😉

I quite often feel that the phrase "stop the world I want to get off" was written for me.

Perhaps I should change my name on here to Luddite.

Afternoon gang. Hope all are well and haven't missed me too much :) . I haven't been in the best of health over the last week with a stomach issue. Not been great but feeling a lot better yesterday and today..

Quite a bit been happening in my world, which is very unusual. Don't think I've mentioned it before but my South Africa trip in February may not be happening. My neighbour has a bit of a health scare which is being checked out and may stop him travelling. Also he's been quoted over a £100 per night by the property owner for an extra person staying, which I won't be prepared to pay. He said he'd clarify this when actually out there so it may be a last minute thing.

In the meantime I've started trying to organise my diary for my October trip up to Liverpool, which is more stressful that arranging the trip itself. Plus my eldest sister is 80 in January and is having a party which she'll come to Liverpool for. So I'll b back up in January for that and it's Cal's birthday 3 day's later so I'll stick around for that and spend it with friends.

Seeing as the main interest in my life is music I've decided to upgrade my equipment and have been looking on line for hifi stuff. There's just too much choice and I need to factor in the limited space I'll have when I downsize. Bit miffed with Spotify too for a number of reasons so had decided to pay for Apple Music. Problem is I seem to have an old account with them linked to my normal email address which has been blocked, and I can't get it sorted as they seem to have my birth date wrong. Nothing ever seems straightforward.

Then the girls totally surprised me by announcing a new tour this Autumn, and they're doing Plymouth Pavilion on Dec 4th. So I've requested my pre sale code and need to get mentally prepared for 10am Tuesday. These pre sale events take stress levels to a different sphere. Wish me Luck. Hopefully Plymouth's full of Wurzell fans.:) The girls have also dropped a new single and if you're not moved by the music video then you're a harder person than me. Yes I'm talking to you Jazzy.

Hope you all enjoy your toffee free weekend. These dates used to offer some respite but for once I find myself missing it.

Sorry to hear you havent been feeling great, hope you are much better now. Have to admit the music is not my taste but that video would melt a heart of stone…
