Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It proves that our recruitment during the window was somewhat shambolic...no real strategy, just a bunch of names with moyes probably doing most of the job. That has to change

Your determined to see this group of players fail aren’t you to prove this point…we’ve upgraded all the players that have left in some positions significantly

No...I am desperate for Everton to be successful, for many years now...too many unfortunately. This group of players is a significant upgrade on last season, but we are still heavily dependant of players like ndiaye...I would like to see more quality coming through the academy to the senior squad, and be able to call upon the u21s for emergencies knowing that they have the quality to succeed.

No mate....we'll only know if the recruitment was "somewhat shambolic" come the end of the season.

It's wild to make such a stupid claim after 3 games.

I guess it depends on your expectations...with moyes comments last season, and earlier this one, he seems to want to target Europe...if he does achieve it somehow, that would be remarkable on the last window...I hope we do manage to qualify for Europe but I feel the squad is a bit short and so vulnerable to injuries to key players.

Yeah...ultimately in the end it will all come out in the wash.

Weird take, we may still be short in some areas but we’ve gone out and reduced the average age to 23 and bought potentially some strong young players mixed with some excellent experience. Bought technically strong players and actually the squads is in a much stronger position.

Mix that with a new stadium, new owners, new recruitment team (which isn’t fully yet in place) and all of sudden there’s loads to feel positive about. Apparently you missed it!
