2025/26 Michael Keane

Not a chance he drops Tarkowski for Braithwaite, Keane goes to the bench as he rightly should, being the 4th choice CB.

He's had a few ok games, but let's not forget that he has been dreadful at times, costing us goals and points with individual errors. The more he plays, the more chance of those errors costing us again. The sooner he is out of the team, the better.

I agree Keane is a ticking time bomb but Tarkowski in his current state is equally prone to errors. Next summer CB will be the priority focus of our recruitment unless O’Brien steps into that position later this season.

Tarkowski had a similar start to the season last year, but looked much more solid once Branthwaite came back. I'd expect to see the same again this season. He isn't getting any younger, though.

I think if we didn't need to sign like 10 players this summer, then we wouldn't have given Keane a deal, and a new CB would have been a priority. I think next year we'll definitely be looking - or at least you'd hope so.

Maybe can get a better version of keane with us have less pressure, has it in him to be a good defender is always his mentality that has been the problem . Tarkowski I am not sure is just a player who starts the season slow but when plays more games it all clicks again and get back to his usual performances.

He won't be fully fit. He barely misses games because he plays through injuries most players would cry off with. It's not always necessarily a good thing either

Hopefully Davie agrees with us, but he picks the team.

People have short memories. Tarkowski looked the same early last season playing next to Keane, as did every other CB Keane has been paired with over his time here.

End of last season Tarkowski was rightly seen as one of our most important players. Pretty massive coincidence that his form has fallen off cliff the start of this season when the only change to the defence is Keane coming in. Common sense and logic says that Tarks will be fine when Branthwaite is back.

give it a rest the lad is doing his best we are 5th in the league Tarkowski has been brutal so far and Braithwaite covers alot for him.yes keane is no world class centre defender but when he has a Everton jersey on him support him.;)

Keeps this up he'll get an extension and will be again well deserved.

Long season though but Moyes man management and M-Keg's resilience should be lauded.

It's always been a confidence thing with Keane, if he can manage that then he's a valuable part of the squad.

No mate , he’s a ticking time bomb and as soon as he makes a couple of his calamities his. Confidence will be shot to pieces again.

He’s been here what 8 years … and cost a mammoth 25m with a year on his contract .

Over that time he has been sub par to put it politely … under no circumstances must he be given another new contract
