Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Call me a nut if you will but I expect Sky to downplay our atmosphere at every opportunity even if it means more microphones at the away end. Sky has yet to show city scape with Bramley Moore as the 4th Grace.
Jeez AT when an intelligent, sane and articulate guy like you buys into this anti Everton conspiracy we really are in trouble. Sky did absolutely wonderful programmes on BMD prior to the Brighton game and the history of Goodison prior to the Southampton game, I'm sure that you must have seen them.

The sad fact is that as a football team Everton have been irrelevant for 30 years , no wonder we don't get the coverage of more successful teams.

We are starting to see the green shoots of recovery but it's debatable whether ( certainly with the current PSR rules ) we can ever overcome decades of mismanagement and get back to the top table.

Don't blame Sky , don't blame the PL - blame Johnson , Kenwright et al who put us in this position.

Tricky one tbh. It’s more than just a view. GP was so familiar and comfortable. It’s going to take a while to get that feeling at HD it all feels big and new and unfamiliar. But I am enjoying it overall, and it’s a great better view than I had at GP. It’s just that the feels aren’t there yet.
Very interesting and not surprising Val. There is very little infrastructure around BMD , certainly little which is familiar to Evertonians.

The transport situation is poor and very little thought seems to have been given to it.

Worst of all for me ( based on reports ) and -as someone who prints out their boarding passes rather than rely on their phone- my aversion to tech is the ticket situation.

Thought I would be desperate to get to a game at BMD but I'm really not. It looks wonderful on TV and I'm delighted at our current form ( tougher tests ahead ) but in all honesty I'm more interested in watching a women's match at Goodison than going to BMD .

However as Fred would not doubt point out I hate moving with the times and would much rather listen to ( say ) Simon and Garfunkel than TLDP.

C'est moi 😂

Unlike blue we didn’t have anything to celebrate but decided to head up the coast to Lossiemouth and a wee restaurant on the harbour for lunch. This was followed by a wee stroll for an ice cream, over the bridge to Lossie beach, back to sit on a bench to contemplate our surroundings and watch a seal playing in the river. It was a very pleasant 21deg with a warm wind, hope you had a good day too @blue1948

Looks and sounds absolutely fantastic

Well , one week in to the no alcohol month ( 4 weeks ) and yesterday was tough. Lovely sunny afternoon and Mrs J said the "wine in the jungle?"

It was disgraceful temptation but friends you will be surprised to hear that I resisted it - even the follow up " just a glass of two".

So far definitely sleeping better - I find that alcohol sends me off to sleep quickly but I always wake in the middle of the night . However that's the only benefit. I've definitely not seen any additional energy and because I've been eating more ( increased weights at the gym ) I've probably put on weight.

Next week should be easier as the table tennis season starts so I'm out 2 nights a week and at the weekend we are off our to a gig.

Strangest thing is though that I really enjoy listening to my music with a glass of vino and I've listened to a couple of lps this week but it's definitely not been the same.

Weird. Anyway only 3 weeks to go.

It is hard to face the reality but you are totally correct ,we have a love for a club that isn't anywhere what it was as a top team . As much as didn't want Moyes back I truly am eating humble pie ,to be honest I like the taste now as we are looking a far better outfit than even the end of last season .
I know the defence is not doing it at the moment but as Howard used to say if you score more than them you win and it is easy to see us scoring now with the influx of class .Some of whom we haven't had a chance to watch yet ,I am really excited once again but this season seems to me to be a dawn of a new phase in our history . I just love the Friedkins ,they are not messing about , just getting on with it .

Good morning all on this muggy one here .I hope all slept well and have a super day today . Is it that @peteblue is getting more sleep or is he too busy with Kay in the mornings? Let us hope it is the former . I see Gana never got a game yesterday which is good for us and Illi was the star player according to the report I read .I won't be watching England tonight and will struggle to watch the highlights I just hope Jordan stays fit . I am really bubbling at the prospect of the team line up next week .We have signed three players all highly rated and none have played in the prem yet . My cup runneth over .Have a great day all .COYB

I'm sort of with you on this but I'm also with @Armaghtoffee as well. I don't think there is an anti Everton conspiracy as such but Sky are so in love with the rs, and employ an awful of ex reds (BBC is the same regarding journalism) that nothing can be allowed to overshadow them. You only have to look at the media tying themselves in knots to justify the £500m spend.

Oh there's no doubt there is a RS love in and the media adore them but the likes of Everton Fulham etc are just irrelevant to Sky

Me too - I always print out tickets. The email regarding the Palace game states the tickets should be stored in my phone wallet. This is probably obvious to rest of the world but not to me - I’ve only just found out there is one so I’ve never used it! You can’t print them so added pressure of forgetting phone, flat battery etc.
As to music anything after say 1980 is of little interest, I’m just an old fuddy daddy - now where did I put my crinoline.😂

Oh I agree. But is the narrative changing or do people feel more enabled to say these things? It’s another divisive agenda that’s being pushed. I have serious concerns for my granddaughters future and more so that I’ll not be there or not be able to protect her. I just hope that the good people prevail and what we are hearing is just the vocal minority. I don’t envy kids these days but I guess every generation has it’s challenges.
You never would have heard the vocal minority before as they would have been piped down immediately in the real world. It’s easy for people to spout bile anonymously on the internet but that hate now seems to be more openly on the streets, fuelled by the likes of Farage and Robinson.

Oh I agree. I like something to hold- and also to keep as a souvenir of things I've been to.
