David Brent: Life on the Road

I haven’t seen this for years, I forgot how cringeworthy David Brent is and how well Ricky Gervais plays him.

But the inconstancy in characters and pacing was jarringly obvious. All his band mates couldn’t stand him, but miraculously warm to him the in the last 10 minutes for literally no other reason than the story demanding it.

The older he gets the lazier and more contrived gervais gets with writing, shame as the series was razor sharp
