Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this foggy day here. I hope all are well and had a good night .
27 years today since I met my wife in Spain ,life flies by the only compensation I can think of is a bottle of the fizzy stuff ,followed by the normal G&T on Friday . I will try to show some restraint and take a photo before the glasses are empty .
Have a great day all COYB

Isn’t it the South stand that has the really steep gradient? I think anyway.
Yes apparently it’s 34.9 degrees and the legal limit is 35 (I think)
Yes it is, that’s where I sit. I was a little apprehensive at first as I don’t do heights very well at all but having been a few times now it’s nowhere near as bad as I thought it might be. I’m in row 42and getting up and down the steps is ok as long as I take my time, there are rails to hold on to, and as I mentioned there are escalators going up and then all going down at the end of the game. The bonus for me because of the gradient is that I have an uninterrupted view of the game as previously in upper G my 6’6” sons head was often blocking it - bobble hats were banned. And of course the leg room is brilliant, in my previous seat at GP it was always a race between me and the guy next to me as to who could get their knee in the gap between the seats as being tall I couldn’t sit with my knees forward due to the lack of room. Very ladylike 😂.
Anyway hope you all have a lovely Friday and weekend. I’m off to see my granddaughter today and tomorrow as it is her first birthday tomorrow and she’s having a little party. Can’t wait ☺️.

Albeit having only been there once, is it fair to say that pictures overstate the actual distance from the pitch? When I saw my seat (digitally) I thought it was quite far away but in real life the view was much closer.

Congratulations to you both! That is an anniversary worth celebrating.

Yes I agree. It doesn’t feel as close as GP but they’ve done well to get that feeling with such a large stadium. I feel slightly further away and up than I did at GP but that’s probably because I am a bit, as the seats we really wanted went in the first tranche and my son was one year short on his season ticket.

Which view do you prefer?

It won’t be as bad as you think I’m sure. If I can do upper south then there’s hope 😂. Once you sit down and take it all in it will all be worth it 💙
The height is bothering me a bit too, if I’m honest, I’m not so good with heights but as I’ve said before I’ll always find something to worry about.😂 I’ll be so happy and grateful just to be there, think I’ve mentioned before there was a time when I couldn’t get past our front door.
