Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I have never seen as many Blue tops around the town centre than I did at the Brighton game. The new ground really will be a game changer for reclaiming the touristy bits by re-educating them as to who the City really supports.

The ground stands out a mile from the air and of course it’s the first thing you see from the ships coming into dock. A marketing dream for not just the club but the entire region. It’s exciting to think what the Regent Road will look like in 10 years time once all the potential has been realised.

Morning all, had a confirmation email regarding the Crystal Palace game, just need to sort train tickets. I need something to worry about so the steepness of the HDS is a bit of a concern but I’m hoping I’ll be that excited to be there I won’’t notice.😆.
Have a good day, all.💙
Do you know where your tickets are for? I was in Upper North East and it actually wasn’t anything out of the ordinary steepness wise.

Upper south stand entrance has escalators and there are also lifts - not sure about the other stands tho.

Good afternoon all ,a broken tooth made me miss my normal post .It is done and dusted now but the dentist said the remains are fractured and it may need taking out if I get persistent pain but that I should try to rescue it at least for now .I hope all are well and had a good night's sleep . Nothing much else happening here COYB

Sorry to hear that Blue, hopefully it will last and with no pain……

We spend most of our time in our south facing conservatory/ kitchen which despite blinds can get warm , so Mrs bl started talking and investigating air conditioning. Having Jenny the kitten hasn’t helped as at times we’ve been unable to open the windows or door. I feel the cold , heat doesn’t bother me and dislike air conditioning blowing on me so I said we should investigate ways of keeping the heat out first like different blinds which make a difference in other parts of the house. Long story short , we’ve got a guy coming in next week to measure up and quote for internal shutters in the conservatory. Things are definitely changing temperature wise, a few years ago we had the central heating on in July !
It is the trend to put a roof on them now as they do get hot ,I used to build them and one day a client asked me to come for a glass of wine to "open " it when I got there in full sun the beautiful candles she had bought had drooped into a you shape ! She later measured the temp and it blew the top off her thermometer at 50°.Do you have "k " glass that onkly lets the warmth one way ?

No steeper than normal house stairs which have a max.pitch of 43° ,I think they are 42° in the steepest parts .That is of course unless @bigjonny is right ,I forgot public places have different byelaws !

The conservatory was built with a roof as a new build 20 years ago We had to have my stepdaughters conservatory “ converted” with a roof about 5 years ago it was unbearable with a glass roof. My understanding of K glass is that it retains heat rather than keeps it out. When out on my run today I stopped and took a few photos of a house with shutters , they looked really neat , we’ll have to replace our current blinds soon anyway due to kitten/ cat damage over the years …..or that’s what Mrs bl tells me !

"K " glass does indeed keep the heat in -if you want it to but if installed the other way around it does the opposite .It is a very thin metallic film that reflects heat that does the work and it will reflect the heat whichever way you want .
