Not at an inferior level where hardly anyone around him thinks at a PL level in terms of movement ahead of him.

He'll regress in that league.

He's still growing and filling out, a season in the championship will.help with his physicality for a start

Probably the only thing I'd say is holding him back. Technically though he can hold his own.

Seamus only got a handful of games at Blackpool though, remember? Definetly played a part (even remember him in the playoff final) , but if he only earned 10 apps or so in the championship its hard to imagine him seriously challenging the first XI at Everton in the same space.

Development takes time. The most precious resource, of which game time is even more valuable. Harrison will have it without us having to bear the risk. Lets hope he makes the best of it.

WTF is the point of signing this feller on loan when we could have just kept Armstrong and played him, given that he's the apparent future?

….the reality is it’s going to be increasingly difficult for Academy players to break through because we now have monies to spend. Armstrong is a talent but we go and spend £20m on Merlin Rohl, whereas in the last few seasons that wouldn’t have happened.

Buying young players who are further-on in their development feeds the demand for immediate success. Everton youngsters will have to be very special to come in and retain a first team place. I used to think it was a bad sign when we sent somebody on loan, that’s no longer the case.

Harrison is going to be a great player and i am enthusiastic that he will be playing every week. He will come back ready to start every week, i am betting on it (not really betting is a waste of money)

Tbf Seamus played every minute for Blackpool, he just joined very late in the season.

I’ve watched part of this match, Harrison is playing further forward akin to his role against Mansfield compared to his deeper role with Derby , he had a hand in the first goal , cutting the ball back from the bye line before it was eventually slotted. Preston are a good attacking team , less so defensively and that’s a worry if they’ve got him to fill a specific deep mid position . While he can certainly do both, his attacking instincts to score and create goals is something he needs to continue to develop too.
A positive start at u19’s though, captaining a talented squad and not looking at all out of place.

Good to hear, a spell at "Pressed at both ends" sounds like the experience he needs at this stage.
