I have no idea what any of this means yet, but this is kind of a cool sentence.Disagree I thought he was more of a 10, like he literally said himself he’s a 8 who plays in a 2, not a 10. Modern day ‘10s’ have to press etc.

The numbers backed this up at one point
I hated typing that out as much as I hated him
Yeah because he played every game. We also had a garbage record with him in the team for what it’s worth, but that won’t stop people claiming every time we lose a game it’s because “we miss Doucoure”
I'm nea about him ngl and am glad we got rid of him. Rather Roehl, will be a better player, less wagesDoucoure fans wounded and weeping as he languishes in the Middle East career graveyard. My heart is happy, keep it up Davey and the boys![]()
Def, he's got that ability to close down a larger area of space more than most. And knows how to get on about getting forward. The gap between the midfield and defense is also important mate, I was told last season Branthwaite was our fastest player over a standing start. We miss him on that score, when he doesn’t play the defensive line is a lot deeper which leaves space for the opposition to play in behind the midfield.
Branthwaite has deceptive recovery pace. The first goal Wolves scored on Sat I do t think they score that of Branthwaite played as the ok e is higher and there is less space between midfield and defensive line.
Nah, the reason we were so reliant on him was because we had absolutely no creativity or technical ability in the team, so we found it difficult to create goals by playing football.Yeah because he played every game. Good post. Correlation not causation. The numbers backed this up at one point

This is completely correct. But him in for the game against Brighton and Wolves instead of KDH and we are marginally better at pressing but exponentially worse at attacking. No way Doucoure could have done any of the plays KDH did for our goals. Not happening.Nah, the reason we were so reliant on him was because we had absolutely no creativity or technical ability in the team, so we found it difficult to create goals by playing football.
We did miss Doucoure when he wasn't available because his running helped us win the ball higher up the park and he got in the box. It made me absolutely ill because he embodied everything I hated about the era, but it would be accurate to suggest we struggled to win without him.
There won't be a solitary moment this season though that we don't win a game because we miss Doucoure. We've upgraded hugely.
When we witnessed Rooney's instant decline who can blame ya. That drinking stuff can age you quick. I hope for Jack's sake he has super genetics and can have a long and healthy prime. To be fair , I was similarly guilty.
I thought Jack's best years were behind him and was concerned that his reputation for partying had replaced his desire as a footballer.
Never been more delighted to be proved wrong.
What the f*** do I know?
Agree, this post is so spot onNah, the reason we were so reliant on him was because we had absolutely no creativity or technical ability in the team, so we found it difficult to create goals by playing football.
