Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

Is that good? 10th-12th? I think we should be finishing way higher than that and we've spent far less over the last few years.
I think for them it's good. It's not far off the best they've been in their entire history. They haven't actually spent that much looking at net spend.

I would say we can finish above that, as can a lot of teams. But not necessarily that we should. There are a lot of decent teams who would be looking to finish in that position too.

...people really need to stop saying the words net spend on here, honestly. It doesn't matter what you've brought in, you're still shelling out millions on players to perform and finish higher than 12th mate.

Should Liverpool have lower expectations this year because they still have a great net spend over the last few years? No, because they have a £100m+ striker, attacking mid, £80m CB and £80m keeper.

Not the best comparison IMO. Liverpool are one of Europe's biggest clubs, pulling in all sorts of revenues from various sources (global fanbase, champions league etc). They don't need to worry about net spend.

Brighton's net spend last season was -£230m just to highlight it. They finished 8th last year, why should they now be looking for 10-12th? I'd be pissed if we went backwards let alone them.

Looking over the last 5 seasons though their net spend is about 8 million euros (unless I counted wrong on transfermarkt). For a club like Brighton hovering around those positions is where they'd want to be (whether 8th, 10th or 12th etc). Stable and out of relegation trouble with the chance of the odd european campaign.

Have to say I quite like the look of Brighton's squad going into this season. Could see them in the top 10-12 again

The gambling guy will move all his concentration on Hearts soon and just see Bright on as a profit making business.

They haven't made a big profit making signing since Caicedo

You keep going back to the well, eventually it runs dry

The gambling guy is a Brighton fan

They've made a 30 million profit on Joao Pedro

They went absolutely nutty for transfers the last 2 summers, this year they obviously hadn't been as succesful as they were hoping so had to go back to reigning it in.

Not sure if an 18 year old Greek lad for less than what we got Barry for is a good move to be honest

They spent 200 million last summer. Other than that they haven't been that mad

Tricky one with promoted clubs. Unless they refuse to spend, they'll almost certainly improve overall, but their forward options aren't gonna score a lot in the PL. They'll be hoping for a lot of 1-0/0-0 results to keep them up - though tbf they account for 2/3 of their results so far...
That luck might run out too, but the defense looks better than it was last year.

But agree, they probably have the most blunt attack in the league, that Piroe moves like a ferry

Think Nymzee has worded my argument perfectly.

No ambition from little Brighton, just happy to make up the numbers and be the annual cuck for Chelsea
