Bizot gonna be in goal for these or does Martinez come back in. I hope it’s the former and Emery has another breakdown in his interview by repeating his name over and over again.

I loved that. It was very "Two weeks. Two weeks. Twoooo weeks. Two weeeekssssss"

Villa haven't just had a bad start they've been shocking so far this season.

Lost to Palace 3-0 in Birmingham, beat by a really poor looking Brentford and got hammered but scraped a draw v Newcastle due to Newcastle having Gordon as there only striker.

Even their business - loaned in a good player in Elliot, but Lindeloth is a woeful player and Sancho has been that bad that Chelsea had to pay united about 8m to send him back.

They've not scored even and vs Palace absolutely fell apart.

Don't beat these and beat them comfortably then can forget about thought of Europe etc.

Tobias linderoth thats going back a few years

Villa finished top 6 last season and they beat us at Goodison.

Villa may have had a slow start to the season, but we fans are going to have to be up for this one.

Agreed, think some are seriously overlooking the quality they have. That's why I feel the break has come at a bad time for us and a good time for them, chance for them to reset a bit.

I'm more confident than I have been in recent games v them, as we have a disgraceful record over the last few years against this lot, but if we are not on our game they have the quality to punish us.

I think we would be glad of the break coming when it did too. They`ve had a woeful start despite the quality they have in their squad, but the break will be good for us to work on our defensive sided of things as we have looked very poor at times at the back. A lot of that is down to injuries and the fact that in pre-season we never really had a run out with the back 4 that have started the season.

Everything you've said here indicates a Villa win, though?

This will be a very interesting game to see how far we have progressed. I don't think Villa are pushovers in any way whatsoever, but after the Brighton game, we should be good enough going forward, and if we don't have any rickets in defence we could take something from this.
