Net spend seems to be a big thing this year I don't remember media pushing it this much before... It's almost like there is an agenda. Our net spend this window is £114m according to Sky earlier (but that includes the Rohl obligation fee, which I think would be included in next year's spend (?) so maybe about £96m in this window?)
Just read that article and came here to post exactly that. Can’t help but suspect City cut a deal here.

APT rules Premier League: Man City end dispute over sponsor rules
Manchester City and the Premier League reach a settlement in their dispute over the rules that govern commercial deals.www.bbc.com

Why on earth would City voluntarily drop this without a quid pro quo?
To punish them too much would damage their own brand. Both parties want this swept under the carpet with a token punishment that will all be forgotten about. And waste 10s of millions in the process mate, only logical explanation is they cut a deal.
The reporting of this is purposeful also, media wise it’s pro PL, City will get a lenient punishment now guaranteed.

Dunno why they bother dragging it out tbh.
It was always guaranteed. Unfortunately no clubs will do the right thing and kick up a humongous fuss and demand appeals against any ruling. And waste 10s of millions in the process mate, only logical explanation is they cut a deal.
