2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

I’d be slow to take the Ukrainians’ word for it - especially as they felt the need to go to social media with their “analysis.”

Clubs pay salaries - not national teams. Given the way this club has supported Mykolenko and the wider Ukrainian cause, I think the club might have expected better from the voluble doctor.

This too. I'm sure if he didn't play those two 90s, the Ukranians would trot him out as much as possible regardless of his health or risk of aggravating the injury.

Wish more of our lads would jib the national teams off, like the scab 6 lot do. Guarantee Konate and wirtz will be fine for the manslaughterers next game.

Not arsed what the Ukrainian team are saying either, he looked ok in the games for us so hopefully he’s back and good to go.

Of course they would.

I mean, their logic is ridiculous. “Everton - who pay his salary - played him twice, but we wanted to too!”

Mykolenko had no business going on this international break.

Looked at the ukrainian doctor comments...he was apparently injured 18 days before myko played in the league cup...it seems to suggest that this is a reoccurrence, so very likely that it will take "significantly" longer time to heal. So I guess this guy is probably off until October at least. Great.

We need a permanent replacement for him anyway. He was a joke on Saturday.

Maybe because he was clearly not fit enough to play the full 90...we missed the opportunity to bring in a replacement on Monday...now we could be looking at garner for a good 5 or 6 games before myko could maybe come back. Not sure moyes trust aznou enough to play him even if he was fit.

Moyes will be judged - rightly - on how he handles this. He has Aznou. Play him or get in Garner and plug the midfield. He has options enough. People on here were telling us it was an 8/10 or better window. If that’s the case, no excuses for the manager.

Never an 8/10 window...7 at most...problem with garner at left back is that we already play a cb at rb...so team totally unbalanced like we saw against Leeds. Additionally we dont really have a replacement for garner in midfield...rohl is not really a 6...more of a 8 (box to box)...it could well be a very difficult few weeks, especially as we have another couple of key players still to play their international fixtures...

To slow to react for 2nd goal....
Bottled it because he was fearful of using his right foot, a few minutes before he'd sliced a clearance out for a corner with his right, and it scared the living daylights out of him for a possible OG. Gomes showed far more hunger and physicality to seize the chance. Players need to be confident of finding row Z.

He's got Aznou but wont play him.
Aznou needs time to bed in as most new signings do.

Too early to judge him whilst recovering from a knock, becoming familiar with team mates and getting up to Premier league pace.

I can see Seamus, now that he's up and running, covering RB, LB this season, as Young did last season for a while, so as not to disturb the midfield.

We literally signed a left back from Bayern Munich. Don’t know why everyone has already written him off.

He should have marked the man, not the ball.
