2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

Watched him for the u21s yesterday. I think it will he a while until he's challenging Mykolenko for a first team spot imo.

Obviously more about getting him minutes yesterday and getting his fitness up and running.

I liked that signing (Aznou) but someone like Ake signing as well would have made a big difference. We’ve left ourselves in a precarious position defensively.

Someone reassure me it’s something like - he’s just come back and played 2 games in a week, we feel it’s too much if he played another 2 games in a week and advised he pulls out.
He had to report for duty as per protocols but everyone has seen sense in the matter?

Disagree, he looked frustrated yesterday playing in a poor side but wouldn't read too much into it as was just about fitness for him as you said.

Think his interview when he joined as well as media since then suggests that we signed him to play, reckon we probably convinced him to sign with the promise of playing time as he wasn't happy being on the bench at Bayern.

We have slightly better options in midfield than we do at LB so if Mykolenko is out for the Villa game I'd expect Moyes to play Garner there ahead of Aznou.

Not sure if that's an indictment upon Moyes , Aznou or the recruitment team

The question I have is why did he need to travel all the way to the Ukraine to have that scan done??

Hopefully now just means that he gets the opportunity to properly recover over the break.
