Not really sure why footballers have a reputation for being thick. Perhaps it's the media training where they are taught to give bland , uncontroversial answers to every question.

Back in the day I remember reading that Galvin who played for Spurs had a degree in Russian and being amazed . When I hear players like Lewis - Skelly and Eze interviewed they strike me as intelligent, interesting and articulate.

As another poster remarked he should get on well with Leighton who I think still retains a keen interest in photography.

Merlin will certainly have loads of subject matter in our beautiful city.

Eze is another one, exceptional chess player, big chess fan myself so I have seen a few of his games. He is very good, he actually won a competition a while back.

top row in the middle looks familiar, but he struggled with Keegan and Toshack
in front of him in the pecking order, although he made the one sub spot his own.

….ginger hair is not Dave Fairclough, that particular lad got a Maths degree and is now a multi-millionaire from his involvement in IT. I think there’d be 3 future professionals, one England international.

That group are U18, mainly 6th formers who stayed at school very few pursuing football. Sammy Lee is there, but he was younger than the rest. Same age group as the likes of Dave but he left school at 15 to join the RS.

He just seemed about the right age as you say.

Talented lad by a different pathway anyways by the sound of it, well done.

So it's only about 3 in that day and age, a very high bar to make it as a top professional thanks.
