I wonder if DM might look to make Garner into a progressive right back. We are well stocked in midfield and I’m not sure he will be first choice in there - could make a very good right back in today’s game.

I actually think he looked really good in midfield against Wolves, was very mature and composed. Hopefully he can keep it up as consistency has always been an issue for him unfortunately.

I think Garner is now the cover for Idrissa if I’m honest, hel end up a 6 - cursed with the Phil Neville gene of versatility.

Moyes will love him, long time.

I agree totally with Moyes over this. It is absolutely vital to have a player like this , who is effectively a "swiss army knife" in times of injury crisis. Anyone thinking that Garner is expendable , is so foolish , in my view.
Similarly , those who didn't rate Neville.
My view , you are all entitled to yours.

He might be forced to play there occasionally but he’s looking like a decent midfielder.

An observation would be we went through our entire budget when we got to Dibling.

We had to sell and player trade Chermiti to bring in Rohl in my opinion. The loan with an obligation suggests cash flow became an issue.
I tend to suspect it's more PSR wiggle room than cash flow - I'd be really surprised if TFG weren't happy to provide liquidity if we needed it

8 - Quality and options now in the squad in a few positions, needed a starting RB and possibly a different type of striker on loan, but a very strong window overall, league position shows that

I went 6.

Expected some pace out wide, and a right back.

We'll still be starting Mykolenko and O'Brien as full backs.

Thing is though, I've no clue on Dibling and Barry, or Aznou and Rohl. So my rating is worth as much as the next nerd on a forum.

6/10 window with the Rohl signing giving it a boost on DD. Shambolic and poorly planned first half of the window, salvaged a bit post-USA with Grealish, KDH and Dibling after Moyes had smashed some heads together. We still ended the window with glaring weaknesses in several key positions and have left the manager short until January. I want to see them better prepared for the January window, no excuses now with the gardening leave lads starting.

I think it was cash flow mate, a loan with an obligation from an amortisation point of view has to be accounted for the same as a permanent transfer. So unlikely PSR.
If I understood the terms correctly, we've paid a £1.7m loan fee for him which goes on the books this season. There's than an obligation to buy which will mean the deal starts adding about £4m per year on the books from next season.

Coincidentally, the PSR profit we've made on the Chermiti deal isn't far off what we've paid as the loan fee

You will likely be disappointed then

Unless we sell someone, there's nothing significant happening in January
