I think Id give it an 8, added a lot of players, addressed a lot of positions and added what looks to be some real quality in Grealish and KDH. Dibling and Barry to be seen. For it to be higher we would have needed to add a RB, and have added a couple more big money immediate-starters.

Missed the point by about a mile mate, but you do you, whatever.

Just hope we have no injuries at all and hope for the best, as it is, as we have no obvious weaknesses in the team, I understand. We're currently playing Michael Keane - the backup to the backup - as Branthwaite is injured and JOB has to play out of position, btw.
Very patronising to think that someone who disagrees with you is missing your point. Not sure who you think you are but you do you. We have 4 senior CBs and at least 4 players that can play full back. We’ve gone from a situation when we had one creative player in our team to having 5. Just enjoy having ballers mate and stop wetting the bed about stuff that might not happen.

It wasn't problematic when we had top 6 form and a great defensive record there last year after Moyes joined. Here is a list of the main right backs we have had since 1992
  • Matt Jackson
  • Paul Holmes
  • Earl Barrett
  • Marc Hottiger
  • Jon O'Connor
  • Steve Watson
  • Tony Hibbert
  • Phil Neville
  • Séamus Coleman
  • Jonjoe Kenny
  • Djibril Sidibé
  • Nathan Patterson
  • Ashley Young
Out of all of those players the only ones that I would take over JOB are Watson, Coleman and Phil Neville.
It is crazy how many duffers we've had in that position. The only decent RB on that list is Coleman (I should say, was, in all honesty). 33 years and one decent RB. Nuts.

Does it bother anyone else that we don't have anyone allocated to number; 3, 4 or 8 from number 1-11?

1 Jordan Pickford

2 Nathan Patterson

5 Michael Keane

6 James Tarkowski

7 Dwight McNeil

9 Beto

10 Iliman Ndiaye

11 Thierno Barry

12 Mark Travers

15 Jake O’Brien

16 Vitalii Mykolenko

18 Jack Grealish

20 Tyler Dibling

22 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

23 Seamus Coleman

24 Charly Alcaraz

31 Tom King

32 Jarrad Branthwaite

34 Merlin Röhl

37 James Garner

39 Adam Aznou

42 Tim Iroegbunam

53 Harry Tyrer
I'm a little surprised KDH didn't want the 8. Grealish and Merlin both explained their numbers.

Goal: 7. Ok money for an OK keeper, but was it a priority?

Defence: 0 defence ( failed any reinforcement ). JB unfit . Patterson will be away off it if playing.

Midfield 7: Tim Iroegbunam looks too be coming back " it's like a new signing", yawn. But is a factor, if Moyes sees something he likes there. Jack awesome, KDH a prospect. No right sided player or obvious holding player

Up front, got Barry 8.

A factor is we also shed some weight, and squad guff.

So 22/40 points

A great right sided player in lieu of Travers is the bit I don't get.
Dibling is a right sided player.

I don't think acquiring Mark Travers prevented us from getting a RB. What kind of outfield player could we get for 4 million?

Isn’t Dibling a right sided player ?

As much as I think it can be difficult to rate transfer windows not long after they have closed, I would score this window as an eight out of ten for us. Yes, we could have strengthened a little more in the window, but I feel that we have a more competitive squad than last season. I would like to make an early prediction that we will make some additions in the January window, largely due to the AFCON tournament.

I wonder if DM might look to make Garner into a progressive right back. We are well stocked in midfield and I’m not sure he will be first choice in there - could make a very good right back in today’s game.

I’d like to think not, just for Garner’s sake of wanting to be a midfielder, but if he was good there it gets more quality on the pitch.

Does do my head in that we’ve got two left backs and both just have random numbers, like why do neither of you want number 3 FFS🤣
