During the furore i wanted to ask if your favourite comic growing up was the Topper, and within the topper, was your favourite comic strip ‘Danny’s Tranny’?

I tried to get a picture of said comic strip - Danny’s tranny - the boy with the magical transistor radio - for extra pizzazz, but let’s just say putting it in a google search has mentally scarred me and I quickly lost the impetus to persevere.

I've no issue with Moyes trying to get his John McGovern in, dependable and capable, his standard bearer. It might be a callback to a previous era, and maybe he's to old school for his own good, but the elder statesman in midfield, someone to deal with the referee, I can understand it.

I wouldve been okay with McGinn...he is feisty and narky and seems to get the crowd involved and has a pass in him. I never saw Soucek as the same kind of player and glad we missed out on him. All good now- " onwards and upwards".
