Last Film You Watched

Well yes mate. I could have told you that.
A: You’re a man, and
B: You’re not an elderly citizen.

It’s the type of film your nan watches with her mates in her knitting circle.
It was a quick pick with the wife last night. Loads of people rave about the book, thought it may have had something a little different the your usual ‘who submit’

Saw the new Toxic Avenger film. Pretty decent, very watchable, and certainly earns its 18 cert, but it feels like the sort of thing you need to see in a packed cinema (only about half a dozen others in the screening I was at).

So it’s finally out. I think that was made a few years ago but had distribution issues.

View attachment 323871 Watched shadow of the vampire earlier, thought Willem Dafoe is excellent in that role. Must admit I was absolutely terrified of the original Nosferatu film since I saw a clip as a child, still wont watch it, but this has just enough comedic element that I don’t need to get changed mid viewing!
Did you watch the recent Nosferatu?

It's excellent.

Stephen King didn’t like the Shining film

I like John Carpenters version of Christine
Agree with King. As a stand alone movie, if it didn’t have the book behind it, the movie is good. Given it was an adaptation of the book, Jack Torrence’s character is treated awfully by Kubrick and Nicholson. In the book, his character is a tragic character but in the movie they make him out to be an a-hole straight from the off.

"Sketch", kids film, girls sketches come to life when they are dropped in a pond contaminated with a chemical, it's not a bad little film, the child actors do a really good job,if you have kids around 10/12 it will keep them interested
Sounds like 'Penny Crayon' which is of note because it was voiced by the ever fabulous Su Pollard.

I was mesmerised by Nicholson’s Torrance, and the Direction was incredible. I don’t care if it wasn’t faithful to the book, it was a brilliant film. And for the record, I think Kubrick’s Jack came across as a tragic character even if he was a bit of an a-hole, he was a complex character.
