Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It's not essential. We performed like a top 8 team with Moyes in charge and O'Brien at RB for nearly half the season and we have significantly improved our attacking options. This bed wetting over not signing a RB when we have massively improved the overall quality in our squad is nauseating. Bunch of spoilt FM brats.

o’briens been great and still will be ;)

Don't ask/don't get - Anyone got Photoshop open an able to do us a collage of all the players we've signed so I can do a lazy grade Everton's transfer window social media post?

That’s it isn’t it, 9?

Defence has been criminally overlooked.
Historically the strongest area of our team you mean? We have retained all of our defenders from last year accept one and we have added one. We have been short of quality in midfield for probably 5 years and we have been short of numbers for about 20 years. Baring unprecedent injuries to our defenders we will be able to put out a team that can actually play football and carry an attacking threat home and away week in week out for the first time in about 30 years.

You're order is complete wrong. No one is lower in the league because they don't have a right back. Teams that have no strikers get relegated regardless of how good the rest of their team is. Having decent options at right back is luxury, CF and CM are an absolute necessity. People are just looking for an excuse to moan. This window has exceeded my wildest expectations.
Or they just have a different view to you on the importance of a dedicated right back.

And that is OK, it is good to have a wide range of views and we’ll find out in time how it pans out.

I suppose when you’re prioritising where to spend the money if you looked at the defensive positions we had 2 right backs on the books, 4 CBs, and 1 left back, so we signed another left back.

I think Moyes sees JOB as his first choice right back. It’s a risky strategy to rely on his fitness with Coleman as backup but maybe the money didn’t stretch that far.

We literally didn’t have any wide players or number 10s before the window opened except for Ndiaye and McNeil and only one senior striker so I can see why a lot of money has gone into those areas.
