Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

1. RB
2.CM
3.CF

That was out priority, we could just about get away without a centre mid and centre forward but we will get caught out if no RB comes in, it's a shame cos it has been a good window but feels like a missed opportunity to really push on
You're order is complete wrong. No one is lower in the league because they don't have a right back. Teams that have no strikers get relegated regardless of how good the rest of their team is. Having decent options at right back is luxury, CF and CM are an absolute necessity. People are just looking for an excuse to moan. This window has exceeded my wildest expectations.

Might as well get each of these their own thread now

Find the RB stance very odd, it was one the first moves we made this transfer window with Tete (not an amazing pick by any stretch but an actual RB) We just seem to have put it on the backburner since then. Its clearly going to be a season of probably JOB and Garner with a sprinkling of Seamus over the top (cup games) Its a position that really should be sorted by now. My hope is that now the new recruitment guy is here one of his first tasks can be to find us a RB for January or next summer.

GK
Travers
The other guy I’ve already forgotten and we will never see.

Defenders

Midfield

Grealish
Dibbling
Rohl
Alcaraz

Barry

That’s it isn’t it, 9?

Defence has been criminally overlooked.

This is a great post, and you’re absolutely right. I think the RB thing has just reached pop culture status with us, much like the Arteta Money. It would have been nice to have an attacking RB, but it’s definitely something we can wait for.

O’Brien isn’t a RB, still can’t believe this needs repeating. He ‘hasn’t put a foot wrong’ because he’s not put a single cross in…because he's not a RB.

We have forwards that want to cut inside, it’s essential the full backs hold the width. O’Brien is absolutely sound as cover or if we need to take a defensive approach. He offers nothing in attack, which is required for modern full backs.
It's not essential. We performed like a top 8 team with Moyes in charge and O'Brien at RB for nearly half the season and we have significantly improved our attacking options. This bed wetting over not signing a RB when we have massively improved the overall quality in our squad is nauseating. Bunch of spoilt FM brats.
