It is KDH’s natural position. Would require Garner to be a sitting number 6, there’s definitely a way we could transition away from Gana’s style of play if we could be better in possession.

It's the position he played in the first part of his career - does not mean it's his natural position. His career took off when he moved further forward for Leicester after Maddison got sold. He's much better further forward.

I did like the EBM podcast tbh.

I think with all 3 of the people on it understanding business and being opposite view points. Ment that they couldn't get away with bamboozling the person they were talking too with business jargin.

So they had to talk less and in simpler terms to get their point across. As opposed (like you said) on toffeetv where Blaine just talks in circles and baz and ped obviously dont know enough to pull him up on it (like i wouldn't tbh ).

EBM was always worth a listen. Did they fall out?

I think it is more, lets just enjoy the moment for once As for the ramifications for next year's spending, it is all PURE SPECULATION. None of us know the exact numbers in these contracts, players exact wages or projected revenue. We just dont. Hopefully TFG have a CFO who does and therefore influences how much we spend and how. If you have these numbers and next years numbers and would like to share, l will gladly stand corrected.

I think they've done well so far & I'm happy bar the lack of a RB. Just looking at what's potentially ahead for us which is allowed. Nobody has the numbers on here. Recent history has left a scar & i whilst I am enjoying the window I'm not going to belly flop balls deep into this like some others.

On paper it sounds great but you could see us getting a bit bullied

Perhaps, sometimes I think the 10 just gets completely cut adrift in our system and we basically end up playing 442 with two defensive mids who aren’t quick enough to cover much ground. Or we watch the number 10 just chasing after the ball for ages whilst the striker jogs around like Doucoure used to do and KDH has started doing. I’d like to see Moyes go back to a 433 but I doubt he ever will now.

This is why I wasn't too bothered about getting the Gana replacement in this window. Garner himself says he wants to play that role and he's played so well already I want us to give him the opportunity.

All I said was we have potentially committed to a large spend already next season. That's it. That's not down beat or kill joy but a realistic reality. It's not preemptive anything. It's happened & it needs remembering.
Preemptive pessimism would have been to say it before we brought in Grealish.
I'm glad we're spending. Just aware of the back end of this.
