Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I reckon we’ll keep a couple of loan slots for Jan. World Cup year. Few players will be sat on the bench wanting to play etc.

Perfect for our European push.

Röhl and that’s all according Dom King

Really don’t get the over dramatisation of the defence.

4th best in the league last year and we haven’t lost any of them.

We have instead, bolstered the midfield which was needed and drastically improved the attack which means we can be on the front foot more and reduce the pressure on the defence.

Myko played the ball into grealish for betos goal on Sat. He isn’t as awful as people make out. (Sure someone will now try and diminish it saying it was just a hopeful ball in).
I'm in the middle a bit on it, but I get why, I think it's fair to say everyone likes Branthwaite, but other than him there's real question marks on the rest. I really like Tarkowski tbh, but he's had a bad start and others don't like him. Every other defender we have visually doesn't pass the eye test, it's not to say they're bad, they're actually not like you point out with Mykolenko, it's the fact the crowd can see they're not comfortable on or off the ball.

It makes the fans uneasy to watch 3/4 or half of your defence look like they could combust from anxiety at any moment every week. A more settled, confident, backline would ease this, and that comes with players playing in their natural positions.
