ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

liverpool have deffo waited until the last day to agree a deal on purpose

they really wanted to screw newcastle over as much as possible

Seems like a reasonable tactic to me.
Tapped him up after the league cup game, left him festering over summer then told him to down tools to force the move - classic RS, it’s what they do, how they’ve never been done for tapping players is beyond me.

The Saudis won’t be happy, the rs have proper done them all over the gaff.

Tells you all you need to know about the premier league and the scab6 - they don’t want anyone else crashing the party, not even the stripey kopites with all their money.

Yanited will be given every chance to get back into the top6 this season, guaranteed.

So, this strategy of theirs where they don't spend like other clubs do and 'do it differently' - can anyone help I out with that? Maybe I'm just thick but I'm struggling here.

My lad loves winding his mum up on this and her constant reply is "we've done it the right way as we've sold players and made money by winning the league".

Think they'll be up close to 400m spent this summer.

We had a summer once where we spent 200m after recouping 85m for Lukaku and suffered 7 seasons for that 1 splurge. Other clubs can do it season in, season out and there's no repercussions if it goes tit's up.

The whole PSR thing needs scrapping or reworking. They can sit in their ivory tower because their revenue is massive helped by their success 30/40 years ago. Trophies and success bring your club history and make your club more appealing to potential signings but it shouldn't mean you can spend more than another club imo.

United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Liverpool had already built their revenue and success before PSR so they benefit the most. United have been awful recently and could still drop 200m this summer.

I don't know the answer but I think it was Neville that suggested clubs if they wish should be able to spend as much as the club with the highest revenue in the league so if Liverpool, City or whoever can drop hundreds of million on players then so can a Villa or Newcastle if the owner wishes to.

£419 million apparently

Gonna get guehi as well aren't they, disaster tbh

In the short term maybe but this season has seen them bin off the proven methods of Klopp for an unproven method, in fact if you look elsewhere there’s not many examples of spewing cash everywhere actually working.

Their youth system played a vital role in keeping the first team motivated- ie: Klopp would let a youth keep his place if he earned it ahead of big money players - but Slot has basically told everyone in that system they may as well leave because they aren’t good enough.

Socialist FC being the ultimate capitalists.
I'm actually happy they got him, they deserve each other, he's an absolute dog and I don't have to explain them.

There's 5 players now that Slot can't possibly drop.

Big Virg will kick off if he gets dropped.
Big Mo will sulk and the crowd will kick off if he gets dropped.
The forward, the poor overrated German, and now the nasty Isak cannot be dropped with the money they spent on them.
Their test will come with a bad patch, I foresee infighting and a complete meltdown in that squad.
