Dobbin, Small, Gibson, Armstrong. They've got their own fab 4
Think Mr Percy has got his box of tissues ready for another story there perhaps……
Is there anyway he can be on loan at Preston but still train with our players like once a week or something?
No disrespect to PNE, but he will learn a lot more training with Grealish, Gueye, Garner, KDH etc than their squad.
I'd have liked him to stay but I think we are doing good succession planning for once. Not sure I agree with this. I think he's ready to be around the first team squad and will get minutes. I thought he showed last week he is massively improved from before he went to Derby.
But I assume this means we are definitely bringing in a midfielder, probably Rohl.
Bad decision in my opinion. Rather give him a go than some guy nobody had heard of until this morning who may or may not fit in.
You're talking about him as if he's 21-22, the lads 18 and getting minutes in the champo will benefit him more than observing from our bench. Game time is king and always will be.Preston are a decent team with three loan players already in Lewis Dobbin, Alfie Devine and Daniel Jebbison, he’ll fit in ok .
But, and it’s a big but, he’ll develop but he’s not going to progress to PL standards. He’ll still need to sit on a PL bench , come on get PL minutes, learn the ways of our players and the pace of the PL . If not now when? I can only hope it’s a short term loan and he’s back in January.
He either should stay with the side, training alongside Premier League players and getting meaningful game time (which of course he would, injuries happen) or he should've gone to an elite team just outside the Big 5 leagues, a la Brainthwaite. Preston is a waste of time.
Moyes is a clueless biff who devalues young talent like Barkley, Aznou and even Rooney in the past. That he'd get shut of Armstrong too is completely forseeable.
He's scared of young talent because he knows you need a nurturing appriaoch with them that he hasn't got it because he's a piece of wood.
