Only distantly Everton related I know, but another interesting Chelsea-related deal today. In April former Toffee Ishe Samuels-Smith signed a new contract with Chelsea until 2031. They then sold him to Strasbourg, a club they essentially own, only a few weeks ago, likely with a massive book value profit. Today Strasbourg loan him to Swansea. I assume, Chelsea are able to buy him back from Strasbourg whenever they like for whatever they can justify is the lowest reasonable fee. So in essence they are continuing his development whilst making a PSR profit rather than just loaning him out.

I am not sure whether I admire how they have had the pants down of all those enforcing PSR or I despise it because it feels somewhat fraudulent and is moving players around at will like they are assets not people.
