He's got talent, for sure, but he plays within himself a lot. However, that is an area where I 100% trust Moyes - getting the best out of, and improving players like that.

My concern would be that he really doesn't seem like what we need. Factor in that there are rumours that we are looking at CBs and it makes you wonder why. We are chronically short at DM and RB.

Plus, I still think we need another winger and striker tbh.
 
Looking at his underlying stats he's a very one dimensional footballer but it looks like he's another ball carrier which appears to be what we have been targeting this summer with the additions of Grealish/KDH/Dibling.

In all fairness mate, we are also short at centre back really of we keep JOB at right back.
 

He's a ball winning midfielder who won 80 percent of his tackles last year. He presses like there is no tomorrow.

He sees himself as an 8. He has played at 10, but really as a hard pressing Doucoure type, there to harry the defence.

He's not super technically gifted but he's tall and fast and he runs all day (sometimes to the point of injury)

So he could sub in for Idrissa during AFCON.

It's really not that left field, as if 35 year old Gueye goes down with injury he would be a solid replacement.

We still need a sitter though.

Moyes said we can’t fix it all this window. Agree we need a RB. I think overall we’re a quality CB, CM, LB, RB and striker away from being a top side. Not easy to do all that in one fell swoop I guess.
