If it won't be settled until the end of the season then how can you be so certain right now that the windows been a disaster?

Riddle me that Dav man
Because we can easily se the imbalance in the squad and it's why the manager himself has said we need more in.

Correct but feck me it’s been a million percent more entertaining than what we have been served up over the last few seasons

Ohh it took a terrible penalty decision in the defeat
Up to now it has been.

Dont forget, we're a club rebooted with the stadium launch etc. We should be seeing a difference.

Agreed
And we are hopefully it lasts and we take steps up the table..

And we bring players in gradually who are levels better and do it without being slapdash
We're talking hypothetically here, however let's look at a scenario come May or June where we're sat in the top half, even competing for Europe.

There's been a season or more progressive and attractive football, with players in the squad who are happy, settled and playing good football.

The club have improved revenue streams through commercial deals and the stadium, with a potential new and more lucrative kit sponsor lined up.

This means there's more money available and the more experienced and capable backroom staff have identified targets that improve the squad.

If this is the case, with our financial position now stronger, I would have more faith in the club bringing in the right type of players to push us on.

While it's a long way to go, next summer, I wouldn't be surprised if the club invests in a new forward and defender to build a spine of a team.

Our new owners have shown me enough that they're directing the club in an upward trajectory; there'll be bumps in the road, but we're building.

Next summer is the big one for me in terms of how we start to judge TFG and the footballing set up they have built. A full year to build the strategy, scout players and develop the academy. I’d expect more low cost, high potential signings ala Brightons approach, with some shrewd outgoings to fund them

So you can judge it now if you think it's crap but you can't say it's been good until the end of the season?

That sounds completely reasonable Dave.
I dont think it's crap, I think it's not good.

If we get two more in at RB/CF I'd be prepared to upgrade failure to a reasonable summer's work. No more than that though.

We really shouldn't be offering low bar's for the club to get over.

You are generous...at work, most places you get 6 month probation...TFG has been here for over 7 months. Of course the strategy takes time to implement, but for me they have been too slow. The recruitment team/ceo should have been up and running well before the summer. They basically knew since November of last year that they were buying the club.
