Second game on MOTD. What a time to be an Everton fan.

Their two goals arose from poor defending.
agree on both. glad of the three points.tbf I thought the first goal was a terrific ball and finish. We could have done better defensively with it but looking from a Wolves POV it was a sweeping move
The 2nd one though was absolutely dreadful by Mykolenko, though I think Keane also could have cut it out. Schoolboy stuff which could have cost us dear.

a fully fit myko would have cleared itYeah I don't really place blame for their first. The cross had the perfect pace and angle to beat the defensive line. I'd have been raving about that pass if it was one of ours.
2nd one was totally avoidable though. Equal blame for Keane and Myko for me though. Shouldn't have even got to Myko
Everton websiteAnyone know where can watch a full match replay?.
EDIT: NVM found it.
The game and league has changed for sure. Everybody seems to spend money and at some point it will probably be unsustainable. We had some great team performances over those years...7 nil home to Sunderland comes to mind. Really my only gripe over those years was when we played the big teams, seems like we never believed we could get anything. Oh, and the last year or two we just kind of ran out of ideas and Moyes ran out of fight and enthusiasm but in reality both those things were down to the fact that Kenwright and Everton were skint and as all the other teams became corporate run we were still trying to be plucky lil Everton. Regardless, Im enjoying this renaissanceIn his first term Moyes net spend was basically even. Year after year. Just googled and Google brought me back here to a thread where goat says Moyes net spend was 5.5m over his entire tenure.
This year we have spent over 100 million net. We are fifth in net. Above Man City (who bought and sold way more but nevertheless this is the net) and the RS. For now. Late window could change things. Still.
That’s a fairly massive difference. He used to get net 1m to spend at most. Inflation does not account for a 100 fold increase in net spend from his average year. BK never had money. Moyes never had money here. A lot of the way he had to manage and buy/sell was a necessity given we never gave him any money to spend.
I’ve lost the quote but people posted the Guardian match summary. In that the author unironically uses the phrase “school of science” to describe our play.
We generally gave the big teams a game a Goodison. The issue was away from home but in reality we didn’t have the right players to make us dangerous against those teams away from home (I.e flying athletic forwards) and they always treated us as a big threat so played their strongest teams with maximum intensity. The game and league has changed for sure.
