2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

Credit to him for the cross for the first goal but that defending for their second was absolutely horrendous. That's up there with the worst defending from a full back you will see. That cross wasn't a threat at all and it put unnecessary pressure on us and tainted the day slightly for me in that it devalued how dominant we were.

I don't think he is good enough for us as a starter beyond the medium term. He will be the starting LB this season and is a good defender at times but he offers very little going forward and is prone to some poor defensive errors. As a squad LB I think he is a very good option even beyond this season though.

Where was he for the first ? showing Keane's lack of pace to cover for him .... 2nd two of them ball watching Wolves had 3 shots today & scored 2 & it was a bad Wolves team - our defence without Brathwaite is poor - Only O'Brien looked solid today the rest of the team were magic - Pickford had very little to do & conceded two goals -

DM needs a right back & more left back cover IMO -
There was a couple where he goes to ground and makes a mess of it and got a bit lucky. Will get up to speed and get better, but an area we should be looking to develop to improve the team if possible (maybe Aznou)

Mykolenko was not at his best defensively yesterday, really poor for the second goal. So it's something Moyes, and the coaching staff have to work on with him.

Agree, but equally a cross from that position shouldn't even be reaching the 6 yard box.

One of either Tarkowski or Keane also have to react quicker and meet that. Like Mykolenko, both were on their heels

People are missing (u/nless I am mistaken) that Mykolenko with his right foot , hit the crossfield ball from midfield that Jack nodded back for Beto to score from.
Moyes and flexiblity. Some lads need to have a check.
Yes mate you're mistaken, he used his left foot for that cross. Perhaps you should've checked first?

On Monday in training he should have to attack crosses when facing his own goal - with his right foot (rather than waiting for it, so he can use his left). From 8-5 all day.
There's no excuse for a professional player not being able to use either foot. See for example Ross Barclay.
