Kopite Kev doing bits again, took £12m out the club to buy him from Sporting then goes and gives us up to £10m back to buy him for Rangers. Couldn’t make that shiz up

I think that Thelwell did really well here , under extremely trying circumstances. However , I think that he may still be doing good things for us even now with this transfer , lol.
The lad could still do well as he hasn't really had a chance (Moise Kean , anyone ?).
However , probably best for everyone that he moves on.
Kev is obviously confident still , in his original judgement.
I wish the lad well.

Some of that fee would have been add-ons and let’s face it he hasn’t hit any milestones

11 up front, 4 in add-ons which won't have been triggered. So the weird way money in footy works we've lost 3m but in fact made a book profit of 3m or so.

We brought off two wide players today, McNeil didn't replace either and we still had dibling on the bench.

That shows how far down the pecking order he is now. If we get anyone asking about him I think we'd consider a decent offer.

Absolutely need to keep him for squad depth. Bit limited , but functional. Don't get why lads only think of first 11 , as it is a squad game. Then they whinge when we get injuries.

If we got a decent offer for him, say £15m or so I think he could easily be replaced with a loan/cheap signing tbh. He was really poor in pre season and was so, so bad on Wednesday. Not sure if he’s just bad at RW where Moyes plays him or if he’s given up because he knows he’s a squad player now.

Yeah if sold have to replace him if we get an offer could see the club accepting, any player that gets sold leaves needs replacing in this squad.
