There would be nothing wrong at this point with going for a versatile squad player. They don't need to be top level, just someone dependable who could cover a couple of positions. We have clearly added quality and that's obviously the number one aim, but we definitely need more depth.

Maybe we just don't have the budget in which case fair enough. But you have to watch today and think we're really just a good RB and DM away from being a pretty damn good team.

Another utility defender who could cover right back and CB would be good. If we can bring in a quality DM then great but if not I think Moyes trusts Iroegbunam more than we thought so he’ll probably get those minutes.

I desperately hope Moyes is in the ear of Kinnear telling him "We've got a serious chance this season if we could just add one or two more before the window closes".
