We’re playing too direct because our LB & RB lack quality in possession. This will lead to more turnovers playing the long ball and even less possession in the 2nd half and will have us playing park the bus to get the 2-1 win.

Move O’Brien to CB, put Garner at RB, drop KDH to Holding Midfielder, and Have Charly play the Attacking Midfielder.

That's not how it works though really

They get drilled all week about the role and position they'll be in. You can't just switch 4 players

Most players seem a bit flat footed. We look dangerous around their box, but aside from grealish, we're a bit sloppy with the ball. JOB and Myco showing up their limitations. KDH not been great, and Ndiaye bit wasteful. Frustrating half, but we're winning. More to come hopefully

Apparently Gerrard is now the best all-round player there has ever been.

You could argue he was rarely the best player in their team. When they had Torres, Suarez, Owen, etc he was a distant second.
