2025/26 Michael Keane

He's doing surprisingly well since Moyes came in.
As I always tried to point out to people, prime John Terry would have struggled in some of those Everton teams.

Absolutely no protection from midfield, no structure and no pace in front of you, totally exposed.

No coincidence that as soon as we get a semblance of structure and protection for the back four, our centre backs, including Keane, are looking better.

We're playing much deeper and it's not going in behind him

The moment it goes over his head he soils his kecks so I'm reserving judgement, happy he's feeling confident though

Yeah, he’s always been solid when the ball is in front of him but their goal showed his weakness. Looked like he was running through quick sand trying to get to the player to block the cross.

What I also really like about Keane is that he’s always pushing high, especially on corners, looking to score. He almost scored today instead of Ndiaye. He gets too much grief on here.

Didn't get the contract extension at first as probably everyone here, but he seems to prove us wrong. And this is a good thing when he is our player.

Playing deeper than under Dyche??? Is it more that Moyes plays more to Keane’s ability to read the game and distribute, rather than purely surviving waves of attacks as we press higher, and also more organized build up than just booting it.

Dyche made our defence the focal point of our club. And so our backs were on high alert for 90 minutes. We never scored. We never pressed. Under Moyes we can see a whole new player was always there in Keane. Just like Beto and Jake.
