Should only be given if it’s either deliberate, or the arm is in an obviously unnatural position.
(Definitely not giving the one against Fulham)
….think that’s pretty much what it is.

I hate that unnatural position rubbish, arms behind your back is the most unnatural position for your arms, your arms go into different positions naturally depending on what you are doing, arms behind the back means you aren't protecting your body from a projectile coming towards you. If they are going to keep on using VAR then they need to change rules regarding handball based on reaction time. For example a radius around a player of say 5 meters is drawn and if the ball is kicked towards them from within that radius it's not hand ball if it's outside it is hand ball, regardless of position of the hands, at least its a concreate rule then and not left to someone's opinion.Should only be given if it’s either deliberate, or the arm is in an obviously unnatural position.

handball should be any part of th arm below the shoulder joint, and its handball if its is either deliberate or accidental but you gain an advantage (ie if it drops at your feet)Here’s an idea.
If the handball wasn’t deliberate - stop giving them as penalties.
I totally agree. Let’s see.Better to speak out than not, though, right? Right now that’s being suppressed. Managers too afraid to speak because they’ll appear isolated.
Walk offs, damage the brand/schedule and litigation against pgmol and the refs fixes it.Silva should go all out in his interview. As should all managers shafted by the VAR officials. The Premier League rely on fear (of sanction) to keep the system looking good. If everyone simply said how it was, every time there’s a disgraceful call - and there are loads - they can’t just fine everyone. Weight of numbers is key.
Why do you disagree out of interest? I think the vast majority of handballs shouldn’t be given. Players very rarely deliberately handle the ball or are reckless. It’s just a completely arbitrary rule.….no, I disagree with that one. I do think the assessment of hand balls should be relatively easy to define.
That’s what it should be, but loads given exactly like the one given against Fulham. Where on earth are his arms meant to be when you block a shot/cross?
But that’s not how it’s officiated because it’s virtually impossible to move in an athletic way without the arms moving away from the body.….think that’s pretty much what it is.
I’d move it to the elbow and below. Your bicep isn’t part of your hand!handball should be any part of th arm below the shoulder joint, and its handball if its is either deliberate or accidental but you gain an advantage (ie if it drops at your feet)
He was an absolutely terrible referee himself. If you ever listen to him talking about football it’s clear he has no understanding of the game whatsoever.Howard Webb has been chief refereeing officer of the PGMOL for over 3 years. The officiating was bad before he started, it’s got progressively worse during his tenure. He should hang his head in shame at just how bad his organisation and his employees are at doing their jobs. Utterly shambolic stuff on a near weekly basis now.

That's exactly what's needed to sort out VAR, hire a bunch of people who have no interest or understanding of football, hand them a rule book tell them to learn it and then start work at VAR and apply the rules as per the book without overanalyzing things of being in favor of certain teams. He was an absolutely terrible referee himself.
